2016 AGM Outcomes

MYCU’s Annual General Meeting was held on 10 November 2016 at the Parramatta Mantra Hotel.

The Chair, Rebecca Richardson, welcomed both members and guests, noting that 24 members were in attendance at the meeting. The Chair announced that this year marks the Credit Union’s 55th year in operation.

The Annual Report for the financial year ended 30 June 2016 was presented to the members and both the Chair and CEO, Therese Turner, gave presentations highlighting the key achievements of 2016 and new initiatives for the year ahead.

Election of Directors

Warren Ross, a long standing Director, retired from the Board and did not seek re-election. A special presentation was held to acknowledge Warren’s contributions to both MYCU and the wider mutual industry over the past 40 years.

Directors Maurice Peat and Sharon Waterhouse were appointed by the membership for 3 year terms.

Remuneration

The maximum aggregate annual Directors’ remuneration for the financial year ending 30 June 2017 was set at $215,000 and approved by the members.

The Chair closed the meeting by acknowledging the efforts of her fellow Directors, the CEO, Management and Staff.
